Where I'll tell you no

Most of what goes wrong on a job goes wrong because somebody took work he shouldn't have. Here is my line, before you spend time on the phone.

Nothing behind the electrical panel, and no new circuits or lines.
No gas. Not the line, not the appliance connection.
No opening walls, no framing, nothing structural.
No roofs, and nothing higher than a step ladder reaches.
Nothing that Illinois says needs a licensed contractor.
No decks or deck building — I hand those to a deck builder I trust.

Payment: Cash or Zelle when the work is finished. No deposits, no checks, no paying ahead.
Pricing: Flat price agreed in writing before I start. Small jobs can be bundled into one visit, which is usually cheaper than calling me twice.
Who does the work: Paul Lubo. Sole proprietor, working alone. No crews, no subcontractors, no dispatcher.
Licensing and insurance: I keep to work that doesn't require a licensed contractor in Illinois. Ask me directly about coverage and I'll give you a straight answer on the phone.
